About the Job

Sportstar is hiring a Social Media Manager.

Eligibility

• Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging, error-free captions that align with the department’s voice
• A deep passion for sports, with knowledge across multiple sports being a plus
• 2-4 years of experience in a newsroom or digital media environment
• Basic video editing skills and familiarity with tools like Canva for quick graphics and infographics; familiarity with Adobe Suite is a bonus
• Expertise in social media platforms such as X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and an awareness of emerging trends
• Ability to generate content ideas, curate posts, and develop strategies to boost engagement and brand visibility
• A data-driven approach to refining content strategy and maximising social media impact

Work Profile

The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating original content, generating ideas for posts, and managing daily social media content across multiple platforms. There will be no reporting duties involved. The role will also include analysing social media performance and refining strategies to drive engagement, reach, and growth.
