About The Akanksha Foundation

The Akanksha Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing children from low-income communities with high-quality education. Through its 26 schools in Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur, the foundation helps children build a strong educational base, instils values, and guides them towards sustainable livelihoods. Over the past three decades, the organisation has grown from supporting 15 children in one centre to more than 13,000 children across its schools.

About the Job

The Akanksha Foundation is hiring a Senior Associate – Communications (Nagpur).

Eligibility

• 2–3 years of experience in communications or marketing (social media, content, events)
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Proficiency in Canva/Adobe Suite
• Skills in photography, video editing, and project management

Work Profile

• Manage and expand the organisation’s social media presence
• Drive media outreach, partnerships, and events
• Create engaging content including newsletters, reports, videos, and campaigns
• Support donor communications and storytelling initiatives
